Okay, so it’s not QUITE Christmas, but since we are traveling next week, we wanted to do a mini family Christmas so Theo could open his Christmas gifts here. Watching Theo walk out of his room and seeing his presents for the first time was the best (I caught his reaction on video). He walked out towards me, then spotted his Little Tieks basketball hoop and Little People car track and ran towards them. He couldn’t decide which to play with, so he just went back and forth between the two!
Our favorite gift that we “opened” this year is a trip to Europe! We LOVE traveling together as a family, even though it’s a little trickier with a child, I want Theo to see as much of the world as possible. Todd and I didn’t grow up traveling outside of the US, so when we got married we made a goal to save for travel, it’s always worth it! We feel very blessed that the stars aligned for us to be able to take another trip across the pond this year.
We had a wonderful day in the 80 degree weather of Houston despite me dropping our new pizza stone and shattering it into a million pieces, yes tears were shed (this is the second stone that has broken in a month!). Devastating, but we didn’t let it ruin our day. We watched Finding Dory, walked to the park, napped, and ate delicious baked french toast (this recipe is incredibly easy and is a family favorite!).
