I absolutely love Thanksgiving, the delicious foods, family time, and watching the Macy’s Parade. This year, we decided to stay in Houston, and we had a blast! The weekend before Thanksgiving, we went to the Rockets vs. the Jazz game decked out in our Jazz gear. Despite the horror stories we had heard about mean Rockets fans, everyone was super nice to us and we loved the game. Theo even sat and watched most of the game.
On Saturday, we had our Friendsgiving with our good friends here in Houston. We tested out some of the pie recipes from The Sprinkles Baking Book and they were delicious!
On Thanksgiving, we ran in the Houston Turkey Trot. The race was PACKED and since we had to line up in the back with our stroller, it took us forever to even cross the start line. We still had fun running even if we spent the race weaving in and out of other racers with our jog stroller the entire time. We had a delicious dinner together, I made these dinner rolls and I tried the banana cream pie from The Sprinkles Baking Book. We finished the evening with decorating for Christmas and watching Home Alone.
I’m not a fan of shopping on Black Friday, the crowds and intense lines are too much for me no matter how good of a sale. I do LOVE shopping online, so I spent Friday in my sweats by the Christmas tree. Some of my favorite deals of the day were a new Sonnet James dress, this ring from The Shine Project, and a Little Tikes Basketball Hoop for Theo.
Happy Thanksgiving, have a great weekend!
